These products utilize lead-free (Pb-free) terminals and have been characterized for moisture sensitivity in accordance with the Pb-free reflow requirements of the joint IPC/JEDEC standard J-STD-020.
Additionally available are the TOTX1400 simplex transmitter and TORX1400 simplex receiver which are equipped with a more robust SMA connector and provide uni-directional Fast Ethernet transmission over APF links with distances up to 50m. On the transmitter side the modules utilize a driver IC and a 650nm LED while on the receiver side a single photoreceiver IC is used. All devices offer data rates from 20Mbps to 125Mbps, feature a PECL interface for ease of connection with peripheral circuits, and will operate from a nominal 3.3V power supply. Operating temperature ranges of -10°C to 70°C for the TODX2701 and -40°C to 85°C.
STMicroelectronics (announced a 1-Mbit serial EEPROM with SPI bus (serial peripheral interface) in the SO8N package with 150-mil (3.8mm) body width. Also offered in the wider SO8W, the M95M01 is intended for the storage of fast-changing parameter data in consumer electronics products such as digital TVs (DTV) DVD players and gaming, as well as in medical equipment, industrial, car infotainment and computer peripherals. The M95M01 is organized as 128-Kbits x 8, and supports Byte and Page Write modes with a fast Write time of 256 Bytes in less than 5ms (less than 13-microseconds/byte typical). The chips are specified to retain Data for more than 40 years, and offer Write endurance of more than 1 million Write cycles. The operating temperature range for these serial EEPROMs is -40 to +85 degrees C, and the memory operates over a wide 1.8V to 5.5V supply-voltage range for maximum flexibility. The M95M01 is available now in sample quantities, in both the SO8N and SO8W RoHS-compliant packages, with volume production planned for July 2007. Pricing for the M95M01 in volume is $1.50.
