Worldwide semiconductor turnover in August 2007
The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reports a worldwide turnover for semiconductors for August 2007 of 21.5 bn US$. This value is 4.9% above that of the August of the previous year. Compared to the previous month, the turnover rose by 4.5%. The “bringer” of this increase in turnover was the NAND flash memory with a growth of turnover of 48% compared to the previous month and 19% when compared to the sales of July 2007.
