Among its advanced features, the AL58221 includes a 10MHz double-edge triggered data clock input to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) and a two-wire serial interface for managing grayscale data and configuration settings. The driver allows for independent channel programming through a digital interface, enabling precise control over LED current and waveform selection. Its APDM technology achieves a visual refresh rate exceeding 1,000Hz at 16-bit and over 256kHz at 8-bit grayscale, significantly reducing flicker and enhancing display quality. Additionally, the device supports cascading of up to 1,030 units for large-scale applications.
The AL58221 is available in a thermally enhanced TSSOP-24EP package, priced at $0.37 for orders of 1,000 pieces. It is released alongside the newly launched AL58263, a 16-channel driver that offers even higher resolution control
